Front Passenger Side Power Window Auto Up / Down Function does not Operate with Front Passenger Side Power Window Switch

DESCRIPTION
If the AUTO UP/DOWN function does not operate, the cause may be one or more of the following:
-
The ECU in the power window regulator motor determines that the power window regulator motor has not been initialized.
-
The power window regulator switch has a malfunction.
-
The Hall-IC in the power window regulator motor has a malfunction.
-
The wiring between the power window regulator switch and the power window regulator motor is open or short.

CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION
|
(a) Check that the manual UP/DOWN function using the power window regulator switch can operate the front passenger side door power window
.

Manual UP/DOWN function operates.

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR RH)
|
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / P-Door Motor / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER WINDOW SWITCH RH - FRONT POWER WINDOW MOTOR RH)

|
(a) Disconnect the L2 front power window regulator switch assembly RH connector.
|
(b) Disconnect the L3 front power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

INSPECT FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH
|
|
(a) Remove the I3 front power window regulator switch assembly RH
.
|
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
